First official day in tokyo

After a Netflix-filled 12 hour flight, we landed at Tokyo International Airport on 12/24 around 2PM. Customs was definitely on the smoother side with many agents to help you get through it. 

From the airport, we took a well thought out metro line to our hotel. Tokyo (and Japan in general, we’ve heard) has a pretty phenomenal train system - easy to navigate and decipher with many directions being in Japanese. We dropped our bags off, showered, and decided to eat just downstairs in our hotel’s restaurant. The carb-ey, quick food was fantastic and hit the spot (decided to have some Japanese whiskey as celebration for making it!)

We tried our hardest to stay awake with the drastic time change and extremely long flight, but ended up calling it a night at 6PM. Grateful for some good ol’ Melatonin to help us sleep through the night!
